Circa at Foggy Bottom

Dupont’s most popular bistro, Circa, has expanded!  Their Foggy Bottom location opened just two weeks ago and has such a crowd, you’d think they have been a fixture of Foggy Bottom for years.  A fan of their signature Dupont location, I had to check this one out!

Circa at Foggy Bottom (CFB) has two items that have put them ahead of the game – location and convenience.  Positioned right at the corner of 23rd and I Streets, CFB is in the heart of GW and Foggy Bottom.  They’re directly across from the Metro, which provides heavy foot traffic, so it’s no wonder they’ve become so busy so soon.

Their happy hour is highly favored with the option of a cool indoor, swank and comfy bar or if you’re a beach dreamer like me,  you can head outside and people watch at their easy breezy outdoor bar.

Happy hour is M-F, 4p-7p, with a $5 house white (Chardonnay) and a house red (Red Zinfandel).  They’ve also got $4 beer on tap to quench that Summer thirst and let your hair down.  Although there are no food specials, they offer their full menu at both bars.

This place quickly becomes a standing room only scene but offers a cool, comfortable, and classic atmosphere with plenty of social butterflies in the room.

  1. Thanks Cocktail Commentaries! This is just what I need! I’m horrible at picking restaurants. It causes anxiety every time I suggest going out with friends, but am perpetually at a loss when they ask “Where should we go?” Now I’ve got a great reference. Thanks for finding all of the great spots in D.C.!
